Topics: Clarifying role of teacher as classroom interventionist (RTI 'first responder'); hallmarks of strong core instruction; non-negotiable elements of classroom intervention; case examples of teacher-delivered classroom RTI interventions.

3. Tier 2: Supplemental Intervention: Standard -Treatment Protocol.

Topics: Essential elements of Tier 2 (supplemental) interventions; how to set up Tier 2 services across a school to provide the right type and amount of support to at-risk students; the role of the Data Analysis Team in overseeing Tier 2 services; where to find high-quality Tier 2 academic-intervention programs.

The site reviews existing studies and draws conclusions about whether specific intervention programs show evidence of effectiveness.
  • Tier 2/3 Intervention Website: Best Evidence Encyclopedia. This site provides reviews of evidence-based math and reading programs. The website is sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University School of Education's Center for Data-Driven Reform in Education (CDDRE) .

 

4. Tier 3: Intensive Intervention: Problem-Solving Protocol.

Topics: Description of the RTI Problem-Solving Team and its role in overseeing Tier 3 (intensive) interventions; guidelines for judging whether a student on intensive intervention is an RTI 'non-responder' and may require more specialized evaluation.

5. Academic & Behavioral Interventions.
