Independent Trainer and Consultant. Present workshops on topics of Response to Intervention (RTI) to school districts and educational organizations across the nation. Provide consultation services to school districts to support their implementation of RTI.
Summer 2006- Summer 2007
Director of Pupil Services, Baldwinsville (NY) Schools. Oversaw school district’s Response to Intervention process, including Instructional Support Teams. Coordinated the planning and delivery of services to special-needs students at the secondary level. Supervised Guidance Department, school nurses, school psychologists, and social workers.
Summer 2004- Summer 2006
Assistant Director of Special Education, Baldwinsville (NY) Schools Chaired all initial Committee on Special Education and Section 504 meetings. Served as district Section 504 Coordinator. Assisted in planning Special Education Department programs. Ensured the compliance of Special Education Department staff with district policies and New York State Education Department Regulations relating to special-needs students.
Fall 2003- Summer 2004
Coordinator for Student Support Services, Syracuse (NY) Schools. Administrative duties included supervision of school psychology staff, oversight of Syracuse Schools Section 504 Committee, coordination of mental health initiatives in large urban district.
Spring 2003

Completed internship in school administration, supporting two departments in an urban school district. Coordinated district mental health services and linkages with community mental-health agencies (Pupil Services Department). Participated in trouble-shooting data-management projects and exploring plans to create district ‘data-warehouse’ (Educational Accountability Department).

School-Based Intervention Team (SBIT) Project Coordinator/Trainer, Syracuse (NY) Schools. Coordinated professional development for the SBIT pre-referral intervention project in Syracuse elementary schools. Presented at regional and state conferences on the SBIT project. Created, revised, and updated SBIT workshops and prepare training materials. Developed on-line intervention resources for the SBIT web site.

Coordinating [Chief] School Psychologist, Syracuse (NY) Schools. Monitored Syracuse School District needs for school psychological services, assisted administration in assigning school psychologists to building sites, coordinated psychologist professional development, served on district committees addressing educational reform, provided mentoring support to newly hired school psychologists, oversaw technology purchases and training for psychology department, supervised school psychology interns.

Program Evaluation Consultant, New York State Teacher Resource & Computer Training Centers. Through the New York State Education Department, consulted with network of 117 Teacher Training Centers across New York State on issues of program evaluation. Conducted periodic trainings on program evaluation issues at state Teacher Center Conferences. School Psychologist, Syracuse (NY) Schools. Conducted psycho-educational assessments of elementary-school students with suspected learning handicaps. Provided consultation services to teachers and parents. Organized and headed the Syracuse Schools Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Committee to create unified method for school-based assessment of ADHD.
