Web Resources: The resources below from Intervention Central were discussed at the training:

ChartDog 2.0 . Use ChartDog to create online progress-monitoring charts with student data. This application lets you enter behavioral data and print off a chart in minutes. You can also save your data and chart settings to update at a later time.

Behavior Reporter: Daily Behavior Report Card Generator. You can quickly make up your own customized Daily Behavior Report Cards (DBRCs) with this free application. DBRCs are a convenient way for teachers to measure student behaviors on a daily basis.

The Savvy Teacher's Guide: Reading Interventions That Work. This free 52-page manual (Adobe Acrobat format) contains 4 teacher intervention scripts to build student reading fluency and 10 scripts to boost comprehension.

 


Who Is Jim Wright?
Jim Wright is a school psychologist and school administrator who lives and works in central New York. Until recently, Jim served as a program developer and trainer for the School-Based Intervention Team (SBIT) Project for the Syracuse City School District. Jim has presented extensively to educators across New York state and in other parts of the country on effective school-based academic and behavioral interventions, curriculum-based measurement, and violence prevention. In November, 2001, Jim was selected for the “Leadership in School Psychology” award by the New York State Association of School Psychologists. Jim is also the creator of the
